Cuba police officer accused in fatal DWI crash makes first court appearance
Cuba, New Mexico police officer Brandon Barber, 29, drove drunk, northbound in the aouthbound lanes on Interstate 25 and crashing head-on. He killed Alfredo Escaname-Hernandez, 50, and Diego Arellano, 21, and injured another person, all three of whom were in the other vehicle, on 1 May 2021.
